Uggie the Skater

End September, first week-end of the fall, sunny day in Paris. What a lovely time for a family walk alongside the Seine river! From Pont de Iena (just down the Eiffel Tower) to Ile Notre Dame, wandering and chatting. My camera in hand, featured with a 18-55mm zoom, I try to do some "souvenir" pictures, and this unexpected skater go through me.

Stunning isn't he? I shot reflexively, but to fast for camera setting.Maybe I would have tried to play with the aperture speed, but finally I like the blurry leg, giving some idea of speed to my picture.

This unusual skater makes me think to Uggie, the Artist movie's wise dog, so let's name my new character after him. To some extent, he is also very skilled!
